4x5 and 35mm film photos based on damaged prints from the FSA project. Roy Stryker was head of the FSA and decided what photos were going to be used. The photographer or "information specialist" as he called them, would send in their photos and Stryker would take a hole puncher to the ones he thought were not worthy of being used. Walker Evans, a participating photographer in the project got angry at Stryker for damaging his photos and decided to write him a stiff letter. This went on for a year until Stryker stopped marking the photos.
